The Roman Road

When I was at first “saved“,  I say that with an open mind and a true heart knowing that salvation is a journey in itself as we are to “Work out our own salvation with fear and trembling “, I mean after confessing Jesus as Lord and Saviour and then being filled with the Holy Spirit, the Only thing I wanted to do was reach out to others and tell them about that Jesus Christ is real. That He is the way , the truth and the life.

So in a continuation from yesterday’s blog regarding Four Points ministry, I thought I would also include another tried and trusted method of evangelism that is called “The Roman Road“.

It is a simple, (all true methods of evangelism, portraying the Gospel should be easy to understand because that is what it is). Effective  short  trip through the book of Romans. So let’s get started. (There are slight variations to other versions of The Roman Road)

Step 1, Romans 3:10

“There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Step 2, Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.“

Step 3, Romans 5:12

“Therefore, just as through one mans sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spared to all men, because all sinned.”

Step 4,  Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord .“

Step 5 ,  Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us .“

  Step 6  , Romans 10:9/10

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.“

Step 7, Romans 10:13

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.“

And that is it, a simple path through the book of Romans that you can, note down, read, memorize and pray over and meditate on. Once you start to store it in your mind, let it seep down into your heart, there is nothing sweeter than storing God’s word, then try speaking it out loud, until it becomes familiar, it doesn’t have to be word for word how you use it in the future. It’s the pattern, the pathway to salvation, that leading people who are going inevitably to their death, but through confrontation, repentance, admission and confession, can lead them to a personal relationship with their Lord and Saviour

Jesus Christ.
